ManTech System Administrator III in Fort Meade, Maryland
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator III to join our team in Fort Meade, MD .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes.
Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
Providing documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
Performing Kubernetes system administration in a DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) environment.
Designing the architecture for an enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure to support a CI/CD pipeline.
Performing or delegating regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Leading desktop and help desk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Capacity, storage planning, and database performance, and monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an IT or related discipline and nine (9) years of position-specific relevant experience.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the TDL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration or Engineering.
Relevant industry standard certifications such as Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, AWS, or VMWare.
Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as Ansible, Salt or Puppet.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
