Job Description

The CI/HUMINT Research Analyst within the C5ISR team at HII Mission Technologies, supporting missions at Fort Meade, MD, plays a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense. Their responsibilities include conducting specialized research and analysis to enhance counterintelligence and human intelligence operations. By gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data from diverse sources, they provide actionable intelligence that informs defense strategies and operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in intelligence analysis, excellent critical thinking skills, and a thorough understanding of CI/HUMINT processes and methodologies.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on counterintelligence and human intelligence operations, threats, and trends.

  • Develop detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to interpret complex intelligence data and identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including military personnel and other intelligence analysts, to gather and validate information.

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of CI/HUMINT operations and activities.

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging intelligence threats and adversary tactics to inform proactive countermeasures and strategies.

  • Assist in the development of policy recommendations and strategic plans to enhance CI/HUMINT capabilities and effectiveness.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on counterintelligence and human intelligence to various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in the conduct of intelligence research and analysis activities.

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related discipline). Master's degree preferred.

  • 9+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, with a focus on CI/HUMINT.

  • Strong understanding of CI/HUMINT operations, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and software (e.g., Analyst Notebook, Palantir, Python, Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Active TS/SCI security Clearance required; must be willing to submit to CI Polygraph exam .

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working directly with Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence collections & analysis operations personnel and understanding of Military Joint Operations and Interagency culture.

  • Knowledge of DoD counterintelligence and human intelligence policies, procedures, and organizational structure.

  • Familiarity with emerging intelligence technologies and their potential applications in CI/HUMINT operations.

  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current CI Poly

Physical Requirements

  • This position may require occasional travel to various DoD locations and facilities.

  • Ability to work in a secure, classified environment as needed.
