U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

Summary About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Special Operations Command, at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serves as Chief, Human Resources Operations Division. Supervises and leads an Army Service Component Command (ASCC) level human resources staff of 17 personnel. As the recognized expert military personnel advisor, advises and participates in major decisions that have a direct and immediate impact on planning and executing key mission initiatives affecting military personnel. Manages the provision of essential personnel service support activities and functions throughout the command including policy development for awards and decorations, incentive pays, and HR policy. Supervises the activities of the division through three subordinate branch supervisors/leaders. Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Experience with planning, and management of personnel and financial resources; 2) Providing management consultative services involving military HR functions to include human resources training, personnel information management, personnel actions, casualty support, and human resource information system planning and development; 3) Experience with operational support programs which include tracking tasking's, budget management, government purchase card program, and force management functions; and 4) Providing HR support and programs such as awards, special pays, and HR training support.
