U.S. Army Reserve Command Human Resources Specialist (Military) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

Summary About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve G-1, Personnel Management Division, Enlisted Management Branch, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serve as the Army Reserve’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Army Reserve Troop Program Unit military personnel programs. Serve as the Army Reserve’s Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on personnel lifecycle management programs. Review changes in legislation, Department of Defense, and Army policy for impacts on assigned military personnel programs. Develop policy, guidance, procedures to implement these changes in new military personnel policies. Conduct staff assistance inspections to ensure compliance related to Army Reserve military personnel programs. Provide technical assistance for assigned programs to include teaching, coaching and mentoring team and subordinate command personnel. Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: Coordinating military personnel programs such as United States Army Reserve (USAR) Troop Program Unit (TPU) promotions, reassignments, reclassifications, professional development education, separations, and/or tenured assignments; Researching, analyzing, interpreting, and development of United States Army Reserve (USAR) Troop Program Unit (TPU) regulations, policies and procedures; and Utilizing automated military Personnel Systems. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Personnel and Human Resources Program Management Technical Competence Technical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
