Description We are offering a contract for a Financial Assistant position in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a part of our team, you will be expected to maintain a flexible work schedule, with hours subject to change based on operational requirements. This role is fully remote and you will be provided with the necessary equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in addressing finance-related cases and tickets, and responding to calls via the RingCentral telephone system.

• Collaborate with various internal departments such as Continuing Education, Sales, and Support to provide customer-related data and resolve customer billing issues in a timely manner.

• Contribute to the creation of Contracts, Sales Orders, and Invoices in NetSuite.

• Assist with the onboarding of new customers by setting up accounts and updating 4-digit LMS ID numbers in NetSuite.

• Participate in the preparation of finance-related reports, vendor form setups, sales tax exemption certificate reviews and internal/external audit activities.

• Take part in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining finance processes and Support Center articles impacting customers.

• Research and prepare documentation for processes customer refunds, including those for Organizational Learners, Independent Learners, and Continuing Education Learners.

• Serve as a backup for posting customer payments made via check, credit card, or electronic funds transfer.

• Provide support for accounts receivable and collection activities as needed.

• Assist with high-volume cycles, special projects, new initiatives, and coverage for planned/unplanned employee time off.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Revenue Management and team to execute planned finance activities and initiatives. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Financial Assistant role or similar position.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce Platform.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, and Concur.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.

• Familiarity with standard accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with auditing, billing functions, and coding invoices.

• Ability to manage contracts finance, approved invoices, and ring central.

• Proven customer service skills, including experience in a call center customer service environment.

• Track record of customer satisfaction measurement and improvement.

• Familiarity with customer service software and ability to provide customer support.

• Experience with billing processes, including correct billing and electronic billing.

• Experience with onboarding procedures.

• Knowledge of vendor management and handling vendor inquiries.

• Understanding of sales tax, audit processes, including annual internal and external audits and audit reviews.

• Familiarity with department SOP's and ability to maintain standard operating procedures.

• Experience with processing refunds, refund requests, and post payments.

• Knowledge of cash applications and EFT - Electronic Funds Transfer.

• Experience with monthly billing and collections, including consumer and B2B collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced Excel formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
