As a Distribution & Collection Operator, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted.
Based in The Villages, FL you’ll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of the collection distribution system on an assigned shift. You’ll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to challenges that may arise in municipal facilities. You’ll operate and maintain equipment including backhoe, aquatech, and dumptruck; all equipment used in trenchwork, cleaning and clearing sewer lines; install new lines, adjust manhole cover, and frame replacement; repair defective sewer lines; perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on all equipment; complete work orders and field complaint forms; and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.
Possess a valid Driver’s License
Experience in maintenance of collections and distributions systems
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Possess, or be able to obtain a Class 2 certification in wastewater operations within one year after date of hiring
Knowledge of collections and distributions systems and tools, equipment, materials used to maintain and repair system

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
