US ARMY HUMAN RESOURCES COMMAND (DRU) Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Military) in Fort Knox, Kentucky

Summary About the Position: Position serves as the Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Military), Incentives and Compensation Branch, Soldier Program Services Division, The Adjutant General Directorate, Human Resources Command. Responsibilities Identify training needs and provides or arranges for development opportunities, and to make decisions on non-routine training requests related to employees. Supervise a workforce with interrelating functions that require coordination of changing work assignments, priorities, and deadlines to ensure that the primary missions of Incentives and Compensation Branch are accomplished. Make decisions on work problems presented by subordinates and section lead. Use technical and policy expertise on complex problems that arise. Research, evaluate, and prepared correspondence to address issues raised by Congress, the White House, the Board for Corrections of Military Records, Inspector General, Major Commands (MACOMS), and installations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Reviews current policy changes, operating conditions, field, new or revised legislation, executive orders, higher echelon directives, existing policies/procedures/regulations to determine the nature, scope and direction of proposed or required changes from every source. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Problem Solving Technical Competence Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone. Substitution of education for experience is NOT permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) Military Personnel Management, Career Field 50 position.
