Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Municipal Engineer - Project Manager in our Fort Collins or Greenwood Village (Denver Tech Center), CO office. In this role, you will be focused on the planning, design, and management of various civil engineering projects for local and government agencies. You will be responsible for scoping, planning, managing, directing, and monitoring all aspects of medium to large Municipal projects and contracts with high degrees of technical complexity. This opportunity is to help drive growth of our Colorado Municipal Group and potentially expand our service line.
Job Activities:
Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies
Work on a variety of projects for municipal clients related to water and wastewater, land development, and others
Support internal and external clients on Municipal related projects
Balance internal and external project schedules and staffing
Prepare project proposals (Scopes of Work and associated fees)
Assist in business development efforts
Conduct field inspections, measurements or calculations
Prepare and develop design and construction documents
Specific Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
12 - 20 years of Civil Engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License required
Extensive experience or understanding of working with state and local authorities
Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
Experience with land, water, wastewater, and/or stormwater projects for Municipal clients
Strong project management skills, with experience in client service management
Experience working directly with the owner to ensure project completion and owner satisfaction
Experience in preparing construction documents (plans and specifications, including front end documents) for a variety of civil projects
Professional engineering design and project oversight including Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
