You’ll join a nationally recognized technical staff to perform challenging engineering studies and designs in Colorado, the mountain West, and the United States. On any given day, you'll:

  • Design stream stability enhancements, stream restoration and scour countermeasures for highway, bridge and flood control projects.

  • Assist with the design of bridges over rivers.

  • Analyze river and floodplain hydraulics and hydrology.

  • Design culverts and drainage facilities for highway projects.

  • Assist with design of water, wastewater, urban stormwater and groundwater projects.

  • Evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete. individual tasks or assignments under the supervision of more experienced engineers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in civil engineering and have an interest in hydraulic engineering.

  • Coursework or experience in hydrologic or hydraulic analysis, especially with HEC-RAS, WMS, EPA-SWMM or HEC HMS.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • River and floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS or two-dimensional hydraulic modeling.

  • Experience in urban drainage design models, tools and techniques.

  • GIS experience.

Compensation: Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $19.50/hour-$26.00/hour. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
