ACCOUNTANT

CSU STRATA is seeking an Accountant supporting the team primarily involves accounting activities for CSU STRATA owned Mexican subsidiaries/entities at CSU Todos Santos (CSUTS).

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or higher in accounting or finance. Preferred: Master's Degree in accounting, education can be substituted for experience.

Experience Required: 1-3 years professional accounting or finance. Preferred: 3-5 years professional accounting or finance. Required Experience with accounting software. Experience with accounts receivable/payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets. Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles and best practices (GAAP). Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records. Proven strong problem-solving skill. Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office. Demonstrated knowledge of payroll software systems and processes. Preferred 3 years with non-profit accounting and/or international accounting. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Experience working across cultures. Familiarity with ERP Systems. Experience with NetSuite, ADP, and Concur. Expectations Establish and maintain effective working relationships. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Recording: Working with CSUTS, monitor all banking activities and ensure transactions are recorded within CSU STRATA's accounting system. Transactions initiated in Mexico include rent, payroll, vendor payments, tax payments, petty cash, credit card charges, and billings.

Cash Flow: Working with CSUTS, maintain appropriate levels of cash balances in the Mexican bank accounts to support monthly activity. Transfers from CSU STATA to CSUTS may occur as frequently as monthly.

Bank Reconciliations: Ensure balances in CSUTS accounts agree with the respective bank statements and balances within NetSuite.

Fixed Assets/Inventory: Manage fixed assets, capitalization of assets, asset life, asset depreciation, disposal, and maintenance records for CSUTS.

Accounts Receivable: Prepare periodic invoices for services performed at the CSUTS, track related payments, and reconcile inter-company AR/AP accounts.

Grant Support: Prepare monthly grant invoices, quarterly grant draws, and semi-annual financial reports for Economic Development Administrations' federal grant and all grants awarded. Work closely with grant Project Manager and Principal Investigator to ensure appropriate utilization of funding and tracking of expenditures.

Reporting: Work closely with Accountant at CSUTS and the accountants/auditors at Gonzales and Gonzales to record transactions and reconcile CSU STRATA accounts/records with those in Mexico.

Compliance: Aid in evaluation and ensure adherence to internal controls. Interpret policies and procedures, State statutes, and Federal regulations to assist with accounting questions. Make recommendations on new or modified accounting policies and procedures.

General Ledger and Reconciliations: Perform general ledger maintenance by completing asset and liability reviews and preparation of journal entries.

Audit Support: Assist with documentation, preparation, and coordination of annual audit of the CSUTS.

General: Provide backup to members of the accounting team during busy periods/in their absence. Duties are redistributed as needed to ensure internal controls during absences. Cross train on other accounting functions as directed. General administrative work entails work papers, reports and work processes are thoroughly documented, and files are maintained p operly in accordance with record retention policies. Update manuals and work process documentation relating to this position annually. Train and transition duties and responsibilities as needed for appropriate cross-training.

Salary Range: $33.65-$38.46 per hour, depending on qualifications Job Type: Part-Time/Nonexempt up to 20 hours per week Reports To: Controller Location: 2537 Research Blvd, Suite 200 Fort Collins, CO 80526 Remote Work: up to 20%
