Pay for this position is determined by the Licensed Educator Salary Schedule based on years of experience and education. Range for position is $54,329 - $81,728 annually (based on a 100% assignment starting August 8th, 2024).

This is a probationary position. However, PSD employees currently under a licensed contract may apply for this position and if selected, will retain contract status.

Must have a valid Colorado Educator's License with appropriate endorsement.


SUMMARY:

Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the library media and technology program based on the site's needs and district policies.

JOB TASKS:

  1. Develop, plan, prepare, model, and implement: a. Professional development on using various multimedia for presentations, classroom lectures, and conferences to staff and leaders. b. New technology integration methods, materials, and instructional design strategies that are research based and proven to increase student learning c. Classroom curriculum, lesson plans, and learning activities.

  2. Establish: a. Goals and procedures regarding the operation of the library media center. b. Expectations for appropriate student behavior and use of equipment and materials.

  3. Coordinate and manage: a. Building technology planning process. b. Setting up equipment with appropriate personnel. c. Site budget for library and media technology and materials. d. Recording and reporting of statistics and evaluations as needed.

  4. Supervise staff, student assistants, and volunteers in the media center to ensure equipment and materials are used properly.

  5. Acquire and maintain library and media materials.

  6. Facilitate use of technology in school and by teachers and students.

  7. Convey enthusiasm for school library and media center learning to promote library media center usage within the school community.

  8. Collaborate: a. With teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes. b. With colleagues in team and district meetings and discussions.

  9. Demonstrate a commitment to: a. Understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity. b. Include and engage families in the student's education. c. Support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations. d. Provide personal and professional excellence.

  10. Participate in: a. Department, team, and district meetings and discussions. b. Professional growth opportunities.

  11. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES:

Bachelor's degree with proper teaching licensure program required.

Experience instructing students in a classroom setting preferred.

Experience working in an educational library/media technology center preferred.

Criminal background check required for hire.

Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.

CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
