Johnson Controls Security System Administrator, Cyber (Job Number: 1073) in Fort Cavazos, Texas
We are seeking a Security Systems Administrator, Cyber to join our federal team at our Fort Cavazos, TX location. (military experience not required). Our team has been partnering with Fort Cavazos for over 15 years supporting their energy efficiency and sustainability needs.

Shift: Salaried role. Primary hours are 7:30am â 4:30pm, Monday-Friday

As a Cyber Security System Administrator with our team, you will:
Administer and monitor implementation of the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Program.
Review certification and authorization documentation to ensure it is compliant with RMF standards
Conduct remediation activities as necessary to maintain system authorization including Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patch management
Conduct, or ensure conduct of, assessment of security controls according to the ISCM strategy.
Prepare and submit security status reports in accordance with organizational policy and procedures.
Revise the system-level security control monitoring process as required.
Reporting the security status of the information system, including Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
Updating critical security documents based on the results of ISCM in eMass.
Participate in the organizationâs configuration management process.
Conducting security impact analyses on changes to the information system.
Preparing, distributing, and maintaining plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of the Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS).
Advising the UMCS AO of any changes in cybersecurity threats affecting the UMCS security posture by monitoring USCYBERCOM IAVAs and Bulletins, Department of Homeland Security Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ISC-CERT), and US ARMY NETCOM IAVAs.
Helping maintain UMCS Assess and Authorization documentation, and UMCS security policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain an inventory of components associated with the information system.
Maintains database of system accreditation status, develops reports, and alerts system proponents when authorization documentation must be updated
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity, information assurance, or network security. Experience supporting Army, Navy, Air Force or other branches of the military preferred.
Strong Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) based on NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-53a, NIST 800-60
Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly with operating systems and database configuration
Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.). Active Department of Defense Secret (or higher) clearance preferred within the last two years.
Comp TIA Network+, Security+, and/or A+ certifications
DoD IAT/8570 level 2 or 3 certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience migrating DoD programs and products from DIACAP to RMF
Experience with DoD implementation of Risk Management Framework, FISMA, and DIACAP
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
LonMark Certified Professional
SolarWinds software experience
SQL experience
Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Experience working with Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) strongly preferred.
Preferred Education
Bachelorâs degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT Security/Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or equivalent experience.
