Network Designs Inc CSfC Network Engineer in Fort Bragg, North Carolina

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be a Network Engineer on a subcontractor team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and compatibility of an enterprise-wide Commercial Solution for Classified (CSfC) solution as it integrates with an existing network and services. You will work as part of a larger team, collaborating with multiple subcontractors and vendors, while providing technical expertise in network implementation, integration, and optimization.This position is hybrid (onsite/remote) and requires travel and work in the following work locations/areas: Fort Liberty Fayetteville-NC, Joint Base Fort Lewis McChord-Washington State, Ft. Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must possess Active Secret security clearance
  • The position is onsite and requires presence at designated work location
  • Must be willing to travel

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MA/MS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or an equivalent level of education and 15 years of technical experience.
  • Current DoD IAT II Certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+).
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant enterprise network experience.
  • Familiarity with DoD organizational structure, including Network Enterprise Operations, navigating firewalls, DoD services integration, and certificate routing requirements.
  • Experience with a range of networking technologies, devices, and enclaves, such as IPv6, IPv4/IPv6 (Dual-Stacking), SIPRNet, NIPRNet, TACLANEs, VLANs, ACLs, Cisco ASA, and Cisco NGFW.
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) in enterprise environments.

Desirable Qualifications/Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in technical enterprise solution implementation within DoD infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with NSA CSfC requirements and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, Federal cybersecurity requirements, and FISMA controls.

Responsibilities:

  • CSfC Solution Implementation:Responsible for integrating CSfC solutions into existing DoD infrastructures. Collaborate with a team of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring system build and integration gates are met.
  • Technical Leadership:When appropriate, provide direction and mentorship for technical staff from the subcontractor team, and coordinate with prime contractors and U.S. Government representatives on solution status.
  • Tier 3 Expertise:Offer advanced support as part of a highly skilled team of subcontractors and vendor personnel, resolving complex IT infrastructure issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Integration:Work with subcontractors, vendors, and government personnel to integrate CSfC technology into existing DoD network and various DoD enterprise services.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration:Provide guidance to integrate CSfC solutions into critical DoD enterprise capabilities such as Active Directory, MECM, HBSS, NESSUS, and relevant DoD Certification Authorities.
  • Network Architecture:Collaborate with multiple subcontractors to identify additional CSfC network information requirements and assist in the design of future CSfC architecture optimization, encompassing new software, hardware, and communications.
  • Technical Documentation:Serve as the subject matter expert in providing technical content for the preparation and submittal of Port, Protocols, and Services (PPS) documentation requests in coordination with subcontractors and DoD stakeholders.
  • Standards Compliance:Work with the project's security staff, subcontractors, and technical teams to ensure compliance with DoD network systems and security requirements.
  • Resident Systems Support Specialist:Serve as a resident Systems Support Specialist for a CSfC node implementation, providing the government informa ion and oversight of the system throughout the project's completion and transition.
  • Virtualized Environments:Assist with the creation of virtual environments, ensuring that hyper-converged systems, nodes, storage devices, and servers are functioning efficiently.
  • Security and Compliance:Assist in maintaining DISA STIG compliance on virtual servers and physical devices, working alongside subcontractors to ensure high-security standards.
  • Overall Monitoring:Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to assess system performance and recommend technical adjustments in coordination with subcontractor teams.
