Technical and Project Engineering LLC (TAPE) Sr. Project Manager in Fort Belvoir, Virginia
Required Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in business or IT related field.
Required Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)
Required Experience:
8 years of IT project management experience with Bachelor's degree.
6 years of IT project management experience with Master's degree.
3 years of working experience with Microsoft Project.
Position Description:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee complex projects from initiation to completion. Your role involves planning, coordination of resources, risk management, and effective communication with stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible performing and tasks as specified in the Program Management Institute (PMI) guidelines and directives.
Responsible for serving as Sr. Project Manager under the Sr. Program Manager and Government project manager leads.
Provide guidance to mid-level project managers.
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
Takes projects from the original concept through final implementation.
Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
Defines project scope and objectives.
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
Monitor project budgets and financial resources.
Optimizes resource use and allocation.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes.
Provides IT project management support to the client, by providing a full range of IT project management skills and experience developing project plans, building and managing schedules, tracking cost/budgets, and identifying and managing project related risks to meet client requirements.
Mentoring and guiding mid-level project managers in the day-to-day conduct of their project management.
Provides technical advice on the development of project milestones and the associated critical path.
Coordinate with Project Management Branch on schedule modifications and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
Manages large- and small-scale Military Construction (MILCON) projects. IT enterprise services projects, IT communications/networking projects, software and hardware upgrade projects, military compound IT master planning projects, IT support projects for direct military operations and IT services/networking contingency planning projects.
Prepares documentation, presentations for briefings, statements, spreadsheets, reports, and conducts analysis, as requested.
CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

Desired Qualifications:
Army experience preferred.
IAT Level II or IAT Level III
Additional ITIL, ITSM, Agile, SCRUM, Structured Cabling, Network, or Systems Certifications (RCDD).
Power BI experience and capability
SharePoint development experience
Master’s Degree

Strong initiative and problem-solving skills required.
Ability to take ownership and leadership of tasks and requirements of assigned projects.
Able to communicate and demonstrate history of strong project documentation and knowledge and task organization.
Knowledge of business and project planning including goal setting, milestones, and project tracking.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis and experience.
