Akima Records Specialist (TS/SCI) in Fort Belvoir, Virginia
Akima Systems Engineering is seeking a Records Center Technician to support the INSCOM G-6 Contract in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The Records Administrator assists in the operation of the records holding area for all non-temporary records belonging to HQ INSCOM and its Major Subordinate Commands.
Responsibilities
Performs accessioning, indexing, maintenance, accountability, safeguarding, and destruction of paper, digital, and magnetic classified and unclassified records in accordance with federal statuteand DoD/Army Regulation, including shelving, pulling, and re-shelving records.
Assists in maintaining inventory accountability for all unclassified and classified documents received in the records center, declassification of records,and the preparation for Army records to be transferred to other Federal Records Centers.
Provides recommendations regarding records storage, cataloging, archiving, and destruction.
Assists in training of other clerical staff in scanning key documents
Produces SOPs, checklists, risk assessments, and other deliverables as directed by the Contractor Program Manager.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Current DoD TS/SCI clearance (as recorded in DISS).
ARIMS experience (Army’s Recordkeeping System).
Ability to use a standard warehouse rolling safety ladderto file and retrieve records from a high shelf (up to 15 feet).
Ability to lift and reposition boxes of documents (up to 40 lbs).
Ability to pull and push carts loaded with boxes (up to 400 lbs).
Ability to compile and compete administrative reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Two or more years of related records work experience
Administrative assistant or human resources experience with the military
National Archives and Records Administration(NARA)certification/training or familiarity withNARA standards and procedures
