Summary About the Position: Serve as the Facility Operations Specialist with the 12th Aviation Battalions S-4 section. This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities Work directly with Brigade Facility Coordinator on facility operations for oversight and approvals in accordance with Army Regulations and local policies. Inspect work to ensure proper accomplishment of equipment installation is in accordance with specifications and meets functional needs. Develop, implement, maintain, and manage the initiation, execution, and closeout of Demand Maintenance Orders and Project Work Orders in accordance with regulations, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures. Review and/or initiate all work requests for modification, maintenance, and repair of assigned facilities for feasibility, adequacy, and assurance of compliance with regulations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinate maintenance for building repairs; brief facility status to higher level management; and assist with initiating work requests for assigned facilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: property management, business administration, or organization and leadership. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
