ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
Multi-Location Responsibility
- Responsible for cleaning multiple apartment buildings located within 1-2 miles from each other
Daily Activities
Engage with an upbeat positive spirit with residents
Vacuum all common area carpets, including edges, elevator slide, stairs, etc.
Empty garbage cans in/around building, including ashtrays & pet waste stations
Clean glass entry doors, side lights, and office, windows
Dust tops of doors, windows, windowsills, fire extinguishers, artwork, sprinklers, cameras, mini splits, wall sconces, light fixtures, railings, & ledges
Pick up all trash from yards, parking lots, and garages and deposit in dumpster including cigarette butts
Clean up any messes seen elsewhere
Change light bulbs and sconce covers as needed
Take note of any maintenance items and report to maintenance
Watch for tenants with unauthorized animals, smoking in unauthorized areas, placing large items near dumpsters, not picking up poo, damaging building, or any other infraction
Pull weeds from gardens
Weekly Activities
Dust all wall elements including cobwebs, wipe glass and case for fire extinguishers, thermostats, etc.
Wipe workout equipment with all-purpose cleaner, sweep & mop/vacuum floor
Replace filters from mini splits
Shampoo carpets
Turn in bi-weekly list of supplies needed
Monthly Activities
Clean individual apartments as residents move out
Apartments must be cleaned in 24 hours
Overtime is required on busy days (e.g. first and last day of month)
Walk building and note all damage to walls, trim, lights, exit lights, emergency lights, carpets, windows, screens, outside of building, etc. and provide a list to supervisor
Touch up paint as needed
Occasional Activities
- Shovel & salt sidewalks
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Preferred 2 years experience cleaning commercial or multi-family buildings
Other Requirements
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Must pass criminal background check
Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle with insurance
Must be able to lift, bend, push, pull, stoop, climb, kneel
