Crawford & Company Temporary - Field Content Inventory Specialist in Florida

Position Summary

edjuster is looking for people interested in a temporary/seasonal Field Content Inventory Specialist role. Content Inventory Specialists are responsible for the physical inventory of contents damaged in residential property claims as a result of a covered peril. Our usual need would be during the hurricane season, but high volume outside of this could necessitate our needing temp workers for longer periods of time. No work is guaranteed in any given period of time and is totally dependent on the needs of our business. Assignment length could range from a few days to several months. There could be the opportunity for a full-time job offer for permanent team placement for high performers.

This role will involve some catastrophe response/travel to the state of Florida. Applicants must permanently reside in the metro Atlanta area or within the states of Florida or Alabama.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with adjusters/policyholders to acknowledge receipt of claims, explain their roles as Content Inventory Specialists and their respective rol e in the claims handling process.

  • Complete physical inventory of the contents impacted by the covered loss. Identify claim type and apply appropriate methodology based on the circumstances of the contents loss. May be exposed to diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).

  • Ensure consistent and quality/turnaround of all claims in accordance with the Company’s productivity and performance standards and our client’s SLA requirements.

  • Independently manage claim load to promote/achieve the timely turnaround/closures of all claims.

  • Communicate with all parties (adjusters/policyholders) in adherence with edjuster’s commitment to timely and informative updates on the content claims process.

  • Complete/submit detailed work/time logs on a daily basis , for all claims processed.

  • Maintain claim related notes in the Company’s Claims System/Web-application, exclaim, relating to incurred hours over productivity standards, as well as related to specific issues and other pertinent notes. Training will be provided.

  • Consistently promote edjuster’s brand, image and reputation in a professional and positive manner.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high school) diploma.

  • 6 months' relevant work experience.

  • Adequate workspace, free of noise and distraction, with high speed internet service.

  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.

  • Overnight travel required, up to 10+ days at a time.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently .

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office/Outlook/Excel, Etc ).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to handle challenging situations and people.

-Visual activity requirements are those of Clerical Administrative. This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer terminal, extensive reading, operation of machines, and using measurement devices.

-Ability to ascend or descend stairwells.

-Ability to maintain balance when walking on narrow, slippery, or sloping surfaces.

-Ability to work outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions.
