ADP Institutional Investment Consultant in Florham Park, New Jersey
ADP is hiring an Institutional Investment Consultant . In this position, Institutional Investment Consultant the will be assigned a book of clients, providing investment analysis and recommendations to a committee of senior managers of our largest customers. Customize investment recommendations to each plan's Investment Policy Statement, providing periodic review of that IPS to keep current with regulations and industry trends. Participate in the investment committee at various levels based on experience and need.
INVESTMENT CONSULTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
SPS 3(21) Investment Advisory Services provided to SPS 3(21) clients:
Provide clients with a sample Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
Assist clients in determining the asset classes that are appropriate for the plan
Assist clients in determining plan investment line-up based on various factors including but not limited to the Plan's IPS and demographics of the eligible employee population
Provide client with information and education about due diligence and monitoring criteria for selecting and managing the investment options
Assist clients in selecting a QDIA
Prepare updates to IPS (if needed)
Issue plan level reports on plan performance and other related information
Evaluate investment performance, style, investment expense, manager tenure and risk for each investment option
Create and maintain a Watch List of plan investment options
Prepare comprehensive fund searches utilizing IPS criteria, share class options and commentary
Perform a comprehensive review of QDIA
Provide benchmarking information
Provide education on investment committee roles and responsibilities
Educate clients on fiduciary duties with respect to 401(k) plans
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze conversion clients’ investments to determine funds that must be replaced due to contract issues, fund trading issues or revenue requirements not being met
Discuss investment results with Investment Consultants II, III and IV to develop sample fund line ups.
Map client's current funds to a recommended fund line up after completion of suitability questionnaire.
Ability to lead investment conversations, strategize with Sales and Financial Advisors on the best investment product fit
Participate in Sales finalist presentations either in person or via phone
Ability to effectively develop and deliver Investment training to Sales
Participate in the development of new tools and investment products by working with Retirement Services Marketing and Sales Leadership
Supervise and mentor Institutional Investment Consultant I and II associates as needed
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
8 to 12 Years Experience and knowledge in the financial markets and varying investment products.
Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience
FINRA 6 and 63 Licenses
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
CRPS, CEBS, ASPPA designations (or equivalent) preferred
ChFC/CFP/CFA/CMFC Preferred
Strong knowledge of retirement plan administration
Knowledge or experience working with Morningstar® Direct
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience and knowledge in the financial markets and varying investment products.
Comprehensive understanding of competitive advantages and disadvantages of investment products and fund families.
Experience in managing executive level relationships/partnerships with clients and third parties.
Strong understanding of Retirement Plan revenue generation.
Ability to travel up to 10% in the future.
