Job Description Summary

As the Director, Supplier Quality & Development, you will be responsible for leading a regionally-based Supplier Management team within a business sub-segment, including both supplier capability and quality responsibilities across supplier selection, development and monitoring activities.

You will be responsible for the sub-segment’s Supplier Management activities within specified GE HealthCare manufacturing sites and assigned supplier ownership. You’ll have additional responsibilities as the business sub-segment ‘Point of Leadership’, and accountable for coordinating supplier management efforts across that sub-segment.

This position has point of leadership responsibility for MR Florence. This position works closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Product Management and Engineering to deliver quality products to our customers with a total cost mindset.

Job Description

  • Lead the development & execution of short and mid-term global Supplier Management strategies and performance for a sub-team within an SBU that support a competitive advantage in partnership with Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Product Management and Engineering.

  • Accountable for the identification, prioritization, budgeting, and resource planning for Supplier Management resources to support business objectives and key initiatives for their team’s scope.

  • Responsible for people leadership activities including recruiting, performance management, people development, and technical development to deliver outcomes across their scope.

  • Point of leadership responsibilities as assigned for business segment coordination and/or sharing of resources across businesses at the site.

  • Responsible for execution of QMS/compliance requirements associated with Supplier Management. This includes supplier audit execution to plan and support of internal and external audits.

  • Support improvement in Supplier Management processes through digitization and simplification including management / employee communication, policy recommendations and bowler dashboards.

  • Responsible for key Supplier Management metrics including DPPM, SCARs, SCRs and NPI and Transfer launch quality.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.

· 7+ years experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Service or Engineering.

· Excellent leadership skills demonstrating cross-functional teamwork and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses, the SBU and our suppliers.

· Influence/communication - establishes good relationships; drives continuous improvement across functional & global boundaries.

· Demonstrated business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.

· Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of time.

Desired qualifications:

· Masters degree in Business Administration.

· Extensive experience in Supplier Quality and/or Supplier Capability activities with expertise across technical areas, program management, compliance/general product quality areas and product knowledge aligned with SBUs.

· Proven leadership in driving results and process improvements, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills.

· Quality experience with a focus on customer experience as the number 1 driver.

· Strong Lean experience and continuous improvement mindset, simplifying processes and removing waste.
