Genesee County Road Commission Traffic Engineer in Flint, Michigan
Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC), Flint, Michigan is seeking a Traffic Engineer who is responsible for performing professional civil engineering tasks. Assigns and supervises the work of lower classified employees. Prepares construction plans, specifications and contract documents for traffic signal, permanent signing, subdivision development, road, culvert and storm sewer design projects
from inception through final completion. Prepares cost estimates, MDOT project programming, NEPA documentation, reviews plan and permit applications. This position will ensure that roadways are designed in a safe and efficient way and a driver is provided with all of the necessary information and safety metrics to help ensure that their driving experience is safe and efficient. This position works in connection with Traffic and Design within the Engineering Department. This position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, three (3) years of experience in Traffic or Civil Engineering and a valid Michigan Driver's License. Licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan is desirable. Salary is $77,771, with comprehensive benefit package including, but not limited to, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, paid holidays and vacation, pension and deferred compensation.
