Launch Support Specialists Robot Programmer in Flint, Michigan

Job Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Reviews drawing package for correct interface, verifies that the interface matches application.
  2. Powers up robot and Calibrate.
  3. Downloads OLP programs.
  4. Set up Binding Table / I/O.
  5. Configures Robot D-Net / I/O Communication.
  6. Teaches robot path programs: Weld, Material Handling, Maintenance, Tip Dress etc.
  7. Set up signals between Robot / PLC interface.
  8. Debugs programs in slow speed and verify all signal's
  9. o and from the PLC.
  10. Mounts hard stops accordingly.
  11. Set up Software Limits to match hard stops.
  12. Debugs auto repeat with PLC Programmer.
  13. Assists pipefitter & electrician with resolving robot dressing problems.
  14. Runs metal and verifies weld spot locations.
  15. Makes necessary changes to achieve cycle time.
  16. Documents all changes to robot programs and End-Effector sequence changes.
  17. Supports FIS / Tech Review / 20 hr. / 2500 cycle run.
  18. Assists with customer buy-off.
  19. Participates in TR studies as required.
  20. Documents all broken robot equipment that has been replaced.
  21. Backs up robot programs and parameters to assigned secure drive.
  22. Understands and follows safety and environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
  23. Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.
  24. Conducts themselves during installation in the field as a CLIENT representative.
  25. Provides all backup and documentation to Robot Leader after project is installed and running production.
  26. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  27. Works alongside with PLC debug group as a team.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and 2 year's related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
