Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Representative to join our team in Flint, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing calls, managing walk-in appointments, filing, taking prescriptions, verifying insurance, and contacting doctor offices to verify appointments. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with multiple team members.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming and outgoing calls

• Manage walk-in appointments

• File documents and prescriptions

• Verify insurance information

• Contact doctor offices to verify appointments

• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor

• Collaborate effectively with team members

• Participate in virtual training from Flint and possibly travel to Rochester Hills for 2 days (mileage paid)

Essential Skills

• Good energy and effective communication skills

• Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently

• Thick skin and the ability to handle difficult customers

• Customer service experience in any industry

• Positive attitude and personable demeanor

• Reliability and the ability to be a good team player

• System and PC savvy, with the ability to adapt to a web-based system

• Reliable transportation for the float role (MVR check required)

• Solid communication and listening skills (in-person and over the phone)

• Strong reading comprehension skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Healthcare experience (preferred but not required)

• Experience in retail or sales

• Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly

• Willingness to ask questions and collaborate with staff

• Professionalism and a stable job history

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
