Description

We are offering a role situated in FLINT, Michigan, for an accountant (financial accounting associate) in the construction industry. This role involves closely collaborating with the Operations Manager to understand all aspects of our financial operations. The workplace requires a highly organized individual capable of managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to understand all aspects of our financial operations

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Handle payroll processing and financial analysis

• Support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with company objectives

• Prepare and distribute invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement strategies to minimize outstanding balances

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and cultivate vendor relationships

• Analyze profit/loss statements and provide insights to support decision-making

• Maintain meticulous financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, Month End Close, Financial Statement, General Ledger, Journal Entries.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper or accountant

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Knowledge and experience in using ADP - Financial Services.

• Ability to manage and oversee all Accounting Functions.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Possess strong auditing skills.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and Month End Close procedures.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements.

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
