Job Description

Campus Services and Activities (CSA) is accepting applications for a customer service and detail-oriented individual to serve as the JacksCard & Central Ticket Office Manager (official title Manager, Event Ticketing) at Northern Arizona University\'s Flagstaff campus.

Their primary focus will be related to event ticketing, which includes coordinating with clients, working on-site at events, performing event ticket system setup, and performing activities related to sales, reporting, and reconciliation. The secondary focus will be leading and supporting the campus ID card (JacksCard) office team.

The successful candidate will possess strong written and interpersonal communication skills, leadership ability, and intermediate technical troubleshooting ability to assist with internal hardware and software issues, as well as working with constituents on event ticketing and JacksCard related problems and opportunities.

Business Operations - 40%

  • Manages the day-to-day customer service and administrative functions of the Central Ticket and JacksCard Offices.
  • Coordinates resources for Central Ticket Office ticketed events including allocating equipment/hardware, scheduling staff, and creating event banks.
  • Serves as on-site event ticketing manager for events as needed.
  • Resolves customer service challenges and escalated issues.
  • Partners with functional support team to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technology issues.
  • Partners with financial oversight team on reporting, reconciliation, investigation, resolution and processing of financial transactions and deposits.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with NAU departments and external entities who enlist Central Ticket Office services.
  • Participates in University events, gives presentations, and educates internal and external clients about services and product offerings of both offices.
  • Maintains office equipment and inventories.
  • Generates usage, revenue, and expense reports for all departmental programs, including ID card, event ticket and declining balance accounts.
  • Ensures compliance with NAU policies related to ID cards, access, and events for NAU constituents.
  • Follows operating processes and procedures for the unit and understands and applies knowledge of appropriate handling of personally identifiable and financial data.
  • Maintains record keeping systems of web and in-person financial transactions and ensures compliance with PCI and campus financial policies.
  • Evaluates current processes for efficiency and recommends improvements based on Lean principles.
  • Creates marketi g and communication plans, performs content updates to departmental websites, and coordinates with campus departments.
  • Creates and updates standard operating procedures, best practices, training manuals and help guides.

Managerial / Supervisory - 30%

  • Recruits and hires employees.
  • Supervises and leads full-time, part-time, and approximately student employees during shifts.
  • Manages employee shift schedules, and time-off requests.
  • Manages employee on-boarding, performance, and off-boarding.
  • Provides career and performance coaching.
  • Defines policies and processes to meet business operation\'s needs.

Cross-Team Support - 25%

  • Provides managerial, leadership, operational and administrative support to JacksCard Office team.

Other - 5%

  • Additional duties assigned based on business needs.
  • On-call duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in related field.
  • 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
