Job Purpose Summary
- We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to work in a team-oriented environment at our facility in Fenton, Missouri. The primary role will be to support the Operations Department in activities related to New Product Manufacturing, Sustaining Engineering, and Production Management.
What you will do
Create (and maintain) part specifications, work instructions, drawings, and other quality system documents needed for purchasing, assembly, packaging, labeling, and inspection of product.
Work closely with the QC team with First Article Inspection program for components and assemblies.
Create and execute process validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for new processes and equipment along with respective reports.
Analyze data gathered from testing, validations, root cause analysis, etc.
Support/manage the design and setup of new production lines, as well as creating manufacturing fixtures.
Support production team as required ensuring a continuous flow of material to meet customer requirements.
Resolve any line-down issues as needed to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Initiate, lead, and participate in continuous improvement using appropriate Lean tools.
PO requests for indirect materials and supplies as needed.
Work with Operations to develop and maintain a robust preventative maintenance program.
Improve productivity by performing ergonomic evaluations, time studies, simulation, and line balancing.
Optimize assembly flow and process.
Study and improve plant safety.
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
95% or better on-time delivery
Reduce outsourcing by 50% for 2023.
Year over year improvement in complaints and non-conformances
Year over year improvement in product cost
What you will need
Punctual, acceptable attendance
High attention to detail and accuracy
Must be able to work efficiently and in an organized manner
Proficiency in creating and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets
Ability to interact with diverse sets of people
Must have good communication skills, both oral and written
Proficient in Solidworks
Preferred: working knowledge/experience with AutoCAD, MiniTab, Lean manufacturing principles, Mastercam, Programming Wire EDM, and Programming of Swiss Lathes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus 10 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience preferred.
3 years of Medical Device Manufacturing Experience

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Further, pay that is offered is based on geographic location, internal equity, market data, applicant’s job-related skills, commensurate experience, required licensures, certifications and certain degrees.
