Rolls Mechanical is looking to add an Assistant Plumbing Service Manager to our team. With our team rapidly growing in the best ways, we are looking to add this position to the team within the next month.
This position will report directly to the Plumbing Service Manager.
This position requires a strategic leader responsible for planning, organizing, and managing Plumbing technical services and delivering preventative, routine, emergency maintenance, and capital projects to all customers, specifically for the Plumbing trade. Develops and leads sales strategy to promote growth and ensures the continuous, sustainable, and efficient operation of the Plumbing Services Department and the assets serviced by the department. Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of the Plumbing service staff, including recruitment, performance management, development, formal training, and engagement.
Essential Functions:
Manage plumbing technicians - including recruitment, retention, training, evaluation, administration of time off, disciplinary action, work allocation, problem resolution, and technical support.
Partner with Human Resources to develop a strategy for the recruitment and retention of qualified technicians
Manage prompt processing of work orders from stages of work order to invoice to pay
Assist the Plumbing Service Manager with the management and improvement of the Plumbing department's productivity, profitability, efficiency, expense management, etc., to ensure a high-functioning department that meets the company's monthly/annual goals.
Responsible for building new client relationships and maintaining ongoing satisfaction of existing clients.
Complement and reinforce the Rolls Mechanical Company mission & promote our Core Values at all levels of the organization.
Oversee technicians & Plumbing estimating teams' production to improve thoroughness, accuracy, profitability, and responsiveness for service estimates.
Acts as the Plumbing technical expert and advisor on behalf of the organization.
Participate in walk throughs, generate take offs and build proposals as requested to submit to clients - following up on them to generate sales
Project manage large projects being completed by plumbing service department to ensure quality workmanship and that the work is completed at or under budget and according to the set schedule
Work with plumbing staff technicians, estimators & purchasing team to ensure correct materials are purchased and installed for each application while managing & utilizing existing inventory.
Coordinates closely with other departmental leaders to support cross-selling and increase sales of all Rolls Mechanical service trades.
Develop a plan and curriculum to advance technical and customer relations/service skills across the organization. Plans should include on the job (OJT) training, apprenticeships, internal classroom, and external training sources.
Manage all warranty concerns within the department & escalate as necessary. Acts to remediate non-billable expenses to the company while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Deliver a growth strategy focused on expanding our service areas' density and geographic reach.
