The Technical Writer is responsible for creating developing, and structuring technical content with a focus on user manuals for environmental instruments. Your expertise in project management, along with excellent writing and editing skills for hardware products, will be pivotal in bringing high-quality new product developments to market.

This position is part of the Global Marketing Communications team based in Fellbach, Germany, and will follow a hybrid model (minimum 3 days a week in the office). This is a diverse team, with 10 Associates located in the Netherlands, Germany, and the United States.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional subject matter experts to ensure high-quality, accurate user manuals.

  • Communicating project status and issues to project teams and management.

  • Leading the implementation of CCMS and continuously improving documentation processes and standards to enhance the user experience and streamline workflows.

  • Gain knowledge about user experience best practices and flagging these to product management when needed.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor Degree and minimum 3 years of direct experience in technical content creation for hardware products based on diverse technical source documents such as specifications, use cases, and other documents.

  • Experience with an XML-based editing system.

  • Extraordinary written and spoken communication skills in English.

It would be a plus if you:

  • Have a good knowledge of national and international standards and regulations in the field of technical documentation and product safety.

  • Have experience in working collaboratively with multiple and international teams toward mutual objectives.
