Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant! This role is situated in the telecom industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Assist with the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly, ensuring accuracy

• Handle monthly close processes and communicate variances to management

• Maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure

• Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline accounting functions and processes

• Adhere to all company procedures and accounting principles

• Respond to inquiries regarding accounting issues and discrepancies, and correct them in a timely manner

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial management and reporting

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks

• Experience with Oracle for financial data management

• Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting and payroll tasks

• Demonstrable experience with SAP for business process management

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and organizational skills
