Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our Event Setup and Clean-Up Team. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events by assisting in the preparation and post-event activities. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup Duties:
- Unload and transport event equipment and supplies to the venue.
- Assemble and arrange furniture, stages, tents, tables, chairs, and other event structures.
- Install decorations, signage, lighting, audio-visual equipment, and other event materials.
- Ensure all setups comply with safety regulations and event specifications.
- Assist vendors and other event staff as needed during the setup process.
Clean-Up Duties:
- Dismantle and pack up furniture, decorations, and other event materials.
- Clean and tidy the event venue, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
- Safely load and transport event equipment back to storage.
- Inspect the venue for any damage and report issues to the Event Coordinator.
- Ensure all clean-up tasks are completed efficiently and the venue is restored to its original condition.
General Duties:
- Follow detailed instructions and timelines provided by the Event Coordinator.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy with clients, vendors, and guests.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in event setup, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience with using hand tools and basic event equipment is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and a vehicle.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the event.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions may be required.
