Job Description

Seeking experienced Bulldozer, Roller, and Haul Truck Operators to perform mass grading on a new solar farm. Responsibilities include land clearing, pad building, and basin excavation. Additionally, we are looking for General Laborers to handle tasks such as silt fence installation, hydroseeding, shoveling, and raking.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers, rollers, and haul trucks for land clearing and mass grading

• Build pads and excavate basins

• Perform silt fence installation, hydroseeding, shoveling, raking, and putting in waddles

• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

• Work in tandem with laborers on site

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in operating excavators or bulldozers

• 3+ years of experience using an articulated dump truck

• Fine grade ability for dozer/excavator

• 3rd party certifications for bulldozer/excavator or articulated haul truck

• Safety awareness and knowledge, such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solar experience is a plus

• Ability to work significant overtime and weekends

• Reliability in attendance and punctuality

Work Environment

Work on multiple civil closeout sites for one of the largest solar construction companies in the country. Expect to work in a new construction environment, exposed to the elements, including very hot and humid conditions in the summer. Work weeks are initially 50 hours, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily with breaks. Appropriate PPE gear, including hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vest, and gloves, is required. Safety is of utmost importance, and two offenses will result in termination.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
