Job Description
As a Manual machinist with our company, you will work closely with service managers, electricians, mechanics, machine operators, and other machinists to produce machined parts used in the maintenance and repair of our onsite machinery. You'll regularly follow order requests, blueprints, engineering detail models, engineering plans, bills of materials, specifications, and sketches of various kinds. Set up and operation of manual machines will be required and familiarity with CNC machinery will be beneficial. Training will be provided on all CNC machinery.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machining equipment including, primarily, manual mills.
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes - training will be provided on CNC machinery.
Operate surface grinding equipment to achieve finished requirements in accordance with detailed prints.
Changeover of mills, lathes, and additional machining equipment.
Fabricate machine components with common tightly held tolerances.
Inspect work for quality during the process and upon completion using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and pins.
Demonstrate organizational skills and willingly share knowledge.
Clean and maintain a secure, safe work environment.
Perform general maintenance and upkeep on machine shop equipment as required.
Required Skills
Experience with manual lathe and mill operations.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and familiarity with GD&T.
Ability to use micrometers and other precise measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of CNC setup and operation.
Understanding of basic math and geometry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $66560.00/yr.
