Robert Half Supply Chain Coordinator in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Description We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator for our operations based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role involves managing customer orders, liaising with various supply chain stakeholders, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a high volume of customer and distributor orders.

• Collaborate with suppliers, shipping companies, and warehouse managers to ensure timely delivery of shipments.

• Regularly conduct inventory reconciliations and cycle counts to maintain optimal inventory levels.

• Work closely with other departments and teams to address and resolve any disruptions in the supply chain.

• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding order status or delivery issues.

• Review inventory levels, prices, vendor quotes, and contracts to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost savings.

• Ensure all supply chain operations are in compliance with relevant federal laws, state regulations, and company policies.

• Fulfil customer-specific requirements, particularly those related to labeling, shipping, material, and shipping documents.

• Generate reports on supply chain activities and performance, including order history analysis, inventory level analysis, order delivery schedules, and trends.

• Identify potential risks in the supply chain, conduct thorough research on the causes, and propose mitigation plans.

• Support other supply chain activities as required, such as program reviews, price setting, system setup and improvements, and non-commercial material management. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in 3M, Dcs, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, and About Time

• Strong communication skills necessary for liaising between different departments and partners

• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on maintaining client relationships

• Experience in forecasting and planning to ensure smooth supply chain operations

• Ability to generate and analyze KPI reports for performance evaluation

• Candidates should have a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Familiarity with supply chain processes and coordination methods

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
