Apply now for our entry level medical assistant opportunity with a busy Plastic and Rehabilitation Surgery office in Hartford county! This position is within CT's 2nd largest employer offering room for growth, the ability to experience different specialties, and also the opportunity for permanent hire!

Specialty: Plastic and Rehabilitation Surgery

Medical Assistant daily role:

-Greeting and rooming patients

-Recording vitals

-Update patient history using Epic EMR system

-Assist providers in procedures

-Must be comfortable performing administrative duties including scheduling appointments, performing insurance verifications, & also prior authorizations.

Work environment:

-This role includes both clinical and administrative duties

-Fast paced Plastic and Rehabilitation Surgery office, 21-28 patients per day

-Must be comfortable floating to satellite offices as needed (will be notified in advance)

Schedule & Locations:

Monday - Friday, no weekends required!

· Flexible for 4x10 weeks or 5x8 hour- needs to be open to 730AM-5pm OR 7AM-430PM- flexibility is important

· Must be comfortable traveling between 5 locations, main office is Farmington but will travel to Farmington, Plainville, Hartford, Glastonbury, and Avon

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-1 Year+ year of medical assisting experience

-Surgery experience not required but preferred

-Must be comfortable commuting between offices as needed

-Must have medical assistant diploma, CMA/RMA preferred

-Must have prior EMR/EHR experience, Epic preferred
