Job Title : Director of FP&A

Hiring Manager : Senior Director of Finance

Mission: The Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function for Mott’s US location, ensuring the delivery of actionable insights, accurate forecasts, and timely financial reports. This role is critical in driving strategic decision-making and supporting the company's growth objectives through rigorous financial analysis and planning.

This is an in-person position based in Farmington, CT. Compensation package includes base salary, bonus, and 401k match. This is once in a lifetime opportunity to drive positive change and work in a dynamic, bureaucracy-free environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial planning processes, including annual operating plans , weekly/quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.

  • Provide actionable analysis and insights to support business decisions and drive financial performance.

  • Ensure forecast accuracy by continuously improving forecasting methodologies and tools.

  • Deliver required monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to corporate leadership.

  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment appraisals.

  • Ensure all communications, both written and oral, are clear, actionable, and effectively convey complex financial information to various stakeholders.

  • Lead and mentor a team of FP&A professionals.

Major Challenges:

  • Complexity of Operations: Managing financial planning and analysis across multiple business units with varying regulations and market conditions.

  • Data Accuracy and Integration: Ensuring the accuracy and integration of financial data from diverse sources and systems.

  • Stakeholder Expectations: Balancing the needs and expectations of various stakeholders.

  • Rapid Change: Adapting to rapid changes in the business environment and market conditions and adjusting financial plans accordingly.

  • Resource Constraints: Managing limited resources while striving to achieve ambitious financial goals and objectives.

Expected Performance Outcomes:

  • Forecast Accuracy: Achieve a forecast accuracy rate of at least 95% for quarterly and annual financial forecasts.

  • Timely Reporting: Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports are delivered within the established deadlines, with zero delays.

  • Cost Savings: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that result in a minimum of 5% reduction in operating expenses annually.

  • Strategic Impact: Provide financial insights and analysis that contribute to at least three major strategic initiatives annually, resulting in measurable business growth or efficiency improvements.

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of delivering accurate forecasts and actionable financial insights.

  • Experience in a public company environment and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
