Our largest client in the Farmingdale area is hiring an Entry Level Shipping / Inventory Clerk for their office. This is a full time temporary to permanent position that is 100% in office. We are looking for someone with prior stocking experience or someone with experience working in a retail setting that enjoys being on their feet. This role will require you to keep track of current inventory, scan in parts, and enter data as needed. work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Data Entry:

• Enter data for all receiving trucks within the company.

• Data entry of adjustments for inventory reports and any store activity.

• Communication:

• Answer phones and assist stores with inventory issues.

• Communicate with showrooms and handle a high volume of phone calls, providing assistance and answering questions related to all aspects of the operation.

• Inventory Management:

• Reconcile truck exceptions via the computer system.

• Compile data and report daily inventory activities within the stores, submitting reports weekly.

• Run reports and compile data on error percentage rates for scanning personnel.

• Research inventory discrepancies using the P.C.R AS400 system.

• Collaboration:

• Work alongside the Dispatching Department to check in about parts and ensure proper inventory stocking.

• Participate in stocking activities in a retail store environment, which includes scanning and checking in parts.
