Job Description:
Priority Cares Home Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Companion to provide specialized care and support to Patients during the shift.
In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Companionship: Be a friendly and supportive presence for the patient throughout the shift. Engage in conversations, offer emotional support, and ensure their comfort.
Assistance with Daily Living: Assist the patient with daily living activities such as getting in and out of bed, using the restroom, and any other tasks they may require help with.
Medication Reminder: If needed, remind the patient to take their medications as prescribed.
Monitor Safety: Ensure the patient's safety during the shift help prevent accidents, and promptly respond to any emergency situations.
Meal Assistance: If required, assist with meal preparation and feeding, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the patient's living space clean and organized.
Communication: Communicate with hospital staff and the patient's healthcare team to ensure the patient's care plan is followed.
Qualifications: Previous experience in patient care or similar roles is preferred. Compassion and patience in providing care to individuals with special needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and punctual, given the overnight shift schedule. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the patient's privacy.
Benefits: Competitive salary ($15 - $16 per hour).
