Job Description:

Education Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Physician employed by an Essentia Health or another organization who is in good standing

• Active member of the medical staff

• Would need to practice and live within the West Market (Fargo, ND Regional Area)

• Demonstrates progressive experience in formal leadership roles

• Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with physicians, administrative and support staff at all levels of the organization; a system thinker with the ability to navigate in a matrix organization.

• Thorough understanding of the best practices in a multi-specialty practice within an integrated health care system.

• Personal traits: decisive, excellent communication skills, ability to successfully interact with staff at all levels, results-oriented team player, champions accountable behavior and practice excellence, leads by example, accountable for performance. Drives patient safety, clinical quality, service excellence, and fosters a culture of professionalism.

Educational Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine

• MBA or MHA preferred

• Board Certified in current specialty

• Active, unrestricted Medical License in North Dakota or Minnesota

Accountability: Reports directly to the West Market President with matrix reporting relationship to the EH Chief Medical Officer. Associate CMO is a direct report of the West CMO.

Authority:

• The West Market Chief Medical Officer has the authority to fulfill the above responsibilities within the scope of this position description.

• 0.7 -0.8 FTE
