Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Candidates will oversee the production and making of PVC pipes. They will enter quantities into the machine to initiate production, bundle, package, and strap the pipes into place. Candidates must work on their feet for the entire shift, use calipers to measure and check the quality of the pipes before moving them to the yard, and sporadically check the weight percentage of the pipes, adjusting the machine as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of PVC pipes.

• Enter quantities into the machine to begin production.

• Bundle, package, and strap pipes into place.

• Work on feet for the entire shift.

• Use calipers to measure and check pipe quality.

• Move pipes into the yard after quality checks.

• Check the weight percentage of pipes sporadically.

• Adjust the machine as needed.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of manufacturing/production facility experience.

• Experience with machine operating, packaging, and general labor.

• Ability to use tape measures and calipers.

• Must pass NPP testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with extruding/molding.

• Experience with micrometers/calipers.

• Packaging and quality control experience.

Work Environment

The facility is located in the north industrial park and is consistently loud and a bit dusty. The team consists of roughly 20 people per shift. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The facility operates on a rotating shift schedule with day and night shifts available. Day shifts are from 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM, and night shifts are from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $25.50/hr.
