Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

As a Machinist, your role will primarily involve setting up and operating machining centers, interpreting blueprints and drawings to make necessary adjustments to remain within tolerance, measuring completed parts using micrometers and calipers, changing out tooling, and performing offsets. You may also assist with lathe when needed and undertake basic manual lathe work when CNCs are full or for custom work.

Hard Skills

  • HAAS and CNC operation experience and setup

  • Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers

  • Ability to interpret drawings

  • Manual and CAD programming

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting

Soft Skills

  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace

  • Adherence to company safety requirements and procedures

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate additional equipment

Work Environment

You will work in a shift either from 7AM-4:30 PM or 8-5, with possible overtime. You will work closely with 1-2 other people in the lathe department, but will also cross over into helping out with the mills and saws if needed. The company has a smaller feel, but is owned by a larger organization with about 30-40 people working in total.
