The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Strategic Portfolio Leader to support our government customer in Falls Church, VA. ( This is currently a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 2 days pers week in the office and 3 days telework.)

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support a Project PMsO through the continued development, implementation, and sustainment of project management policies, processes, and methodologies throughout the operational environments, headquarters, and Echelon III commands.

  • Providing subject matter expertise to the Government in the field of portfolio and project management-related processes, procedures, and protocols to promote a common understanding and application of the portfolio management process to all stakeholders within Navy Medicine Enterprise.

  • Supporting project leadership of the portfolio projects that will promote standardization and transparency within the organization by incorporating best practices, standardized templates, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Memos, Charters, Work breakdown structure (WBS), Plan of action and milestones (POAM) and PowerPoint Presentations.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Leveraging the strengths of our team to drive innovation and achieve outstanding results. We are looking for a Project Manager who is skilled in Appreciative Inquiry to join our dynamic team.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three (3) years’ relevant experience after receiving PMP certification is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience associated with successfully accomplishing all tasks.

  • Have a practical understanding of Appreciative Inquiry

  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, EXCEL, Outlook, and TEAMS.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in Navy Medicine programs is preferred.

  • Training and coaching experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill

  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have a Secret Clearance.
