As a member of the Northrop Grumman Communications Strategy Team, the Communications Operations and Strategy Lead will help drive the innovation, development, and execution of Northrop Grumman’s communication’s strategy, working across Centers of Practice (CoPs) and business sectors to align on priorities, opportunities and campaigns shaping the reputation of Northrop Grumman and the effectiveness of our Communications function.
This position location is located at Northrop Grumman’s headquarters in Falls Church, VA with options for hybrid work.
A key focus for Northrop Grumman is to build an industry-leading capabilities ecosystem enabled by an engaged, effective and strategic Communications team.
You will work closely with senior Communications leadership to drive strategic planning for our function, develop action plans to help our Communications team evolve and grow, develop and effective metrics and reporting tools to communicate our progress, and share best practices across our Communications team.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Corporate Vice President, Communications (CCO) to support the Communications Functional Strategy, and NG Communications Strategy
Support Communications talent development and skill building programs including Capabilities Framework
Coordinate functional engagement, including survey action plan tracking, professional development opportunities, standing up new workstreams and working teams, fostering team connection, identifying opportunities for team recognition and more
Support operations and integration of functional priorities including development and implementation of communications best practices, establishing robust moments of engagement, Roles and Responsibilities (RASCI) documentation
Support program management for key functional priorities, including senior executive prep materials
Manage Corporate Communications budget
Work with Business Management and cost center owners to provide reports and forecasts to Corp. Vice President, Communications
Collect and analyze data, make recommendations to improve our approach and the results of future communications, processes, events, and activities

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of communications experience, successfully developing and deploying communications practices OR Master's degree with 6+ years of communications experience, successfully developing and deploying communications practices
Experiencing in project management tools and software
Experience managing SharePoint and Teams environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with overseeing communications strategy programs
Familiarity with managing budgets for a large corporate function
Comfortable tracking and reporting and reporting functional updates
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on multiple major strategic initiatives simultaneously
Understanding of AP writing style
Strong writing skills
Strong business acumen
Experience leveraging and interpreting data to create and execute communications strategies and plans
Salary Range: $113,500 - $170,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
