This is a Service Contract (SCA) position

Responsibilities:

This is a Full time position. The Protection Specialist will be assigned to a location in the Northern Virginia area and will be responsible for the security and integrity of the assigned facilities. The Protection Specialist may be assigned other security responsibilities to include:

• Closely observing activates of individuals working and/or visiting the customer facilities.

• Provide a safe and secure environment in facilities where assigned.

• Supporting requirements that will require standing or walking 80% to 90% of each shift.

• Protection Specialist will mainly be working outdoors.

• Must maintain a constant state of alertness.

• Ensure subjects do not enter any areas where they are not authorized, nor where they do not have a valid reason for entering.

• Provide written reports of incidents and security violations

• Maintain a security logbook of site activities. Qualifications:

• United States Citizenship

• Must possess a Secret clearance or higher at time of application

• Must submit and remain in a clearance pipeline to obtain a TS clearance with a Polygraph

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to sit for long periods of time while remaining alert and attentive

• Possess the visual acuity to observe the activities of other individuals from a moderate distance. This position requires visual observation of personnel working or visiting customer facilities.

• Must successfully complete DCJS training within 90 days of being hired.

• Good customer service skills.

• Good oral and written communications skills
