Naval Medical Command PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in Falls Church, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Office of the Corps Chief of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY. Salary Range: GS-11 $82,764 - $107,590 Salary Range: GS-12 $99,200 - $128,956 Responsibilities You will administer the BUMED Mentoring Program throughout Navy Medicine, utilizing DON approved learning management system mentoring tools while retaining program records. You will conduct assessments of training needs to identify training opportunity/resources and advise on training and course enrollment procedures. You will interpret and apply policies regarding academic degree training and leader development. You will prepare guidance and trainings on employee development programs. You will exercise budgeting and contract officer responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-12: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as: Experience managing a project or program including overseeing its planning, execution, and assessment. Experience monitoring the execution of small contract work and establishing/recommending the priority and commitment of resources, projects, and available funding for personnel, equipment and facilities. Experience evaluating the impact of training on the organization, performing data analytics and trend analysis, and preparing command level training reports, presentations, and newsletters. Experience providing training/advising on the content of individual development plans (IDPs). Experience interpreting policy regarding academic degree training and leadership development (i.e. DOD and Navy policies). Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as: Experience assisting a program or project manager with the planning, execution, and assessment of a program. Experience supporting training or leadership development within an organization, to include their work with budgets, while maintaining all necessary training documentation in database format. Experience evaluating the impact of training on the organization, performing trend analysis, and preparing command level training reports, presentations, and newsletters. Experience providing training on individual development plans to ensure individual and organizational requirements for career progression are identified. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
