Axiom Resource Management, Inc. Privacy Compliance Specialist in Falls Church, Virginia

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Privacy Compliance Specialist to join our team within the DHA Health IT Services division. This role is crucial for ensuring our projects comply with privacy regulations and standards. The selected candidate will coordinate privacy compliance activities, serve as a liaison with various entities, and manage documentation and metrics related to privacy compliance.

Successful Candidate Will: Coordinate privacy compliance activities to ensure adherence to the E-Government (E-Gov) Act of 2002, Section 208, OMB M-03-22, Privacy Act of 1974, and DoDI 5400.16. Serve as the Privacy Compliance Liaison to offices within the DHA. Analyze and provide feedback on the usage of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) to ensure data handling aligns with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Maintain a central repository for all Privacy Compliance documentation, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs), and Social Security Number Justification (SSNJ) memoranda. Maintain centralized tracking tools for the status of PIA and DSA for all supported efforts. Conduct analysis to develop and maintain metrics that inform Privacy Compliance status and identify possible process improvements. Develop and maintain templates and process assets associated with Privacy Compliance. Provide Privacy Compliance training to division staff to inform them of corresponding activities and lessons learned. Qualifications Include: Understanding of privacy laws, regulations, and standards, including the E-Government Act, Privacy Act, and DoDI 5400.16. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Proficiency in maintaining documentation and tracking tools. Experience in developing and delivering training sessions. Preferred Qualifications Include: Experience in developing and delivering training sessions. Familiarity with military health systems and protocols.
