This full-time position is responsible for supporting all internal Global Corporate Responsibility (GCR) operations, including support of the GCR Vice President, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and Corporate Citizenship organizations to ensure departments are on track with their programs and initiatives throughout the year.

This is a newly created position that will report to the Manager of Operations for Global Corporate Responsibility. It is a hybrid position; the candidate must be able to work at the Falls Church, VA office multiple days a week. There will also be occasional after-hours event support required.

This position can be hired as a Level 2, or a Level 3 depending upon the incumbents experience and education.

This is an exciting opportunity to help the GCR organization evolve its efficiency, collaboration methods, project management and day-to-day operations. The work the GCR team does is high-impact and extremely visible; it spans community partnerships and volunteerism, corporate giving, employee resource groups, DE&I initiatives and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex projects and implementing project management methodologies, familiarity with collaboration tools and content management, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a knack for identifying organizational inefficiencies and then working quickly to help streamline and simplify. Experience supporting and managing events is also needed.

Key responsibilities include:

Meetings and Events:

  • Support VP briefings and leadership council meetings (agenda, deck-building, logistics, preparation and following up on actions).

  • Facilitate and support GCR, Corporate Citizenship and DE&I meetings and activities, as needed.

  • Manage logistics and coordination for on-site and off-site events.

Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Partner with Operations manager to track all Operations projects and tasks.

  • Partner with Operations manager to develop GCR metrics dashboard and reporting.

  • Help identify and implement collaboration tools and best practices based on organizational need.

  • Help identify and implement project management practices based on organizational need.

  • Lead special projects as needed.

Content Management and Development:

  • Maintain/evolve Microsoft 365 channels that host GCR documents, such as Teams and SharePoint.

  • Curate and maintain GCR internal SharePoint sites.

  • Support maintenance and evolution of GCR external web pages, including sourcing, developing and organizing content in partnership with Communications, and finalizing reviews/approvals for implementation of updates.

  • Support and maintain GCR policies, procedures and forms.

  • Develop, maintain and update GCR information that exists on other company platforms, such as knowledge articles, learning platforms and Human Resources sites.

  • Draft GCR content for various annual reports.

  • Support GCR Leadership with trends and research, strategy summaries, and reports.

  • Manage GCR Survey submissions and awards.

Partnership:

  • Collaborate with staff and other functional areas to improve operational efficiency.

  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders at different levels across Northrop Grumman, domestically and internationally, to execute GCR projects. Help break down barriers through collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with GCR teams, Communications and key stakeholders to promote GCR messaging internally and externally.

  • May assist with monitoring GCR, DE&I and Corporate Citizenship mailboxes to respond to inquiries, providing management awareness as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • A02 – Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience; 1 year with a Master’s

  • A03 - Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, 4 years with a Master’s (Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement).

  • Experience managing complex projects and using project management tools and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills at an executive level.

  • Demonstrated event management experience (virtual and in-person).

  • Ability to efficiently follow and implement processes, policies and procedures.

  • Ability to travel domestically (10%) to support GCR activities and leadership.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Change management experience.

  • Surveys/awards experience.

  • SharePoint content management experience.

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100

Salary Range 2: $88,700 - $133,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
