Lead Machinist (Supervisor)

Job Description

Oversee daily machining operations and ensure projects are completed on time. Optimize programming in support of quick turn machining. High mix/low volume. Train and mentor junior machinists. Set up, operate, and maintain various types of machinery, mainly milling and turning. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the machining process.

• Set up, operate, and maintain various types of machinery, primarily milling and turning.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the machining process.

Essential Skills

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining operations.

• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, equipment, and programming.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.

• Proficiency in inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers.

• Experience with CNC mill and lathe operations.

• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and first article inspection.

Work Environment

Very clean work environment in an ISO 9001 facility that is well-lit. The production team consists of 25-30 people across the 1st and 2nd shifts, with plans to expand into a 3rd shift and add 10 employees this year. Flexibility in work hours and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00

Temperature controlled ISO environment but not a clean room environment

They are targeting to hire someone in quality inspection who could also train into a Quality Technician role - the path for career is big for this role and could turn into higher level management roles down the road

Flexibility in shift schedule - can work 8 hour days really between 6a,m and 9am start time- will be flexible even on lunch hour 30 or 1 hour or even if they need time off at times for appointments, etc. Flexibility is really big - this role will be treated like a salary type job with flexibility -
