PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Crisis work and/or Substance Use Detox treatment Experience in Mental health field and/or Substance Use field. Knowledge of diverse disability populations. Knowledge of community resources for behavioral health issues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below. High School Diploma or equivalent. Current, valid W.V. Licensed Practical Nurse License. Valid Photo ID or Drivers License Ability to comply with Consumers Rights. Ability to comply with company and Division departmental safety procedures. Ability to read, write and speak the English language. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Completes and submits documentation as required by company, Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurances and any other licensing agencies. Employee ensures that documentation (such as Client Charts, Progress Notes, Daily Summaries, Consumer Vital Signs, Incident Reports, Discharge Summaries, etc.) are completed accurately and timely and will reflect services the client(s) has received as appropriate. Provide 24 hours nursing services according to physician orders. Provide basic living skills support and consumer education regarding the benefits and potential side effects of prescribed medications and other health related subjects to clients within the Crisis Unit. Monitor clients within the Crisis Unit to ensure their needs are met per the treatment plan. Work with other members of the Crisis Team to coordinate services. Assists with cleaning duties on the Unit as assigned by Supervisor in order to meet licensure requirements. Work with other agencies, hospitals, providers, etc. to ensure the referral process is offered. Assure that the safety, health and well being of consumers are always maintained on site. Implement treatment and behavioral plans in compliance with company and State guidelines. Adhere to professional code of ethics in performing nursing services including company Standards of Conduct and Compliance. Follows approved standard nursing practices and guidelines when administering or directing to have administered all medications to clients. This will include proper documentation and timeliness of the administration of medications as well as observance of the client. Monitor, maintain and use appropriately equipment and supplies. Support and help in the training of new employees. Uses clear communication skills, including people first language with clients and other professionals. Attends in-service trainings and mandated meetings/supervisions as assigned. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
