BUNZL Warehouse Operations Supervisor in Fairfield, Ohio

Description

John Tillman Company, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Supervisor for our warehouse operations in Fairfield, OH. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure the safety of all employees, audit requirements, facility, and equipment maintenance, along with employee development and staffing. Assisting the Warehouse Manager with daily operations, including order fulfillment is required.

Responsibilities:

  • EHS audit preparation, cooperation and information updates

  • Management of physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Supervise Shipping, Receiving and Production staff

  • Assist in the development, productivity and accuracy standards and follow-up to ensure acceptable quality control standards are met

  • Analyze and make improvement recommendations to established departmental processes and procedures

  • Responsible for ensuring that department associates are trained on safe work practices

  • Coaching, counseling and motivating associates to attain optimum performance, productivity levels, and morale

  • Assist with hiring and disciplines, as needed

  • Facility and equipment upkeep, maintenance and logs

  • Ensure that all company and HR policies and practices are communicated to department associates and practiced consistently

  • Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective processing and delivery of orders

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of warehouse or distribution center experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse lead or supervisor role preferred

  • Must have the ability to act independently

  • Spend time on the floor to ensure appropriate knowledge of the work being supervised

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate to Advance knowledge for reporting

  • Ability to work alongside Warehouse Manager and other Supervisors for daily operation
