Description

We are seeking a diligent Payroll Assistant to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for handling payroll processes, maintaining records, and resolving payroll-related issues. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and demands a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll for associates

• Assist in enrolling staff in Time on Demand

• Provide backup support for payroll processing when required

• Organize, prepare, and store payroll records securely

• Handle payroll orientation tasks when the supervisor is absent

• Review Absentee Report Forms for any issues related to payments

• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and organize payroll data

• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

• Review timesheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies

• Process and monitor employee timesheets and attendance records.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in data entry tasks with high attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to reconcile payroll prior to distribution

• Experience in handling, reviewing, and approving timesheets

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for various payroll-related tasks

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee timesheets and payroll data

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various departments

• Familiarity with payroll regulations and requirements in the manufacturing sector

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• High level of accuracy and a keen eye for detail

• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
